Halo Infinite is a first-person shooter game released in 2021 by Xbox Game Studios and developed by 343 Industries. Following 2015's Halo 5: Guardians, it is the eighth main entry in the Halo franchise and the third in the "reclaimer saga."
The campaign follows Master Chief, a human supersoldier, and his war against the enemy Banished on the Forerunner ringworld Zeta Halo. Unlike previous installments in the series, the multiplayer component of the game is available for free.
Infinite was supposed to be published on November 10, 2020, as a launch game with the Xbox Series X/S, however, it was pushed back to August 2020. It was finally published on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on December 8, 2021. The multiplayer component of Halo Infinite had been in open beta starting November 15, 2021, until the game's release, to mark the franchise's and Xbox's 20th anniversary. The game received mostly positive feedback.
Platforms: Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
Plot: Halo Infinite's plot focuses on the Master Chief's efforts to locate a new artificial intelligence (AI) known by the codename "The Weapon" and, with her assistance, determine the whereabouts of the Chief's former AI companion, Cortana and finally end both threats.
