Netflix has revealed the first trailer for the fourth and final season of “On My Block”. The teenage comedy will return for the final time on Netflix on October 4.

In the trailer, pressure mounts as Monse inform Cesar that she no longer requires protection and he should protect himself by getting away from Oscar and leaving Freeridge. On the other hand, Cesar claims that he is destined to be a gang member and that it is too late for him to quit.

You’re gonna go off and be a famous writer someday. Ruby’s gonna follow his brother and go to some fancy college. Jamal will figure things out and get out,” Cesar tells Monse at the beginning of the teaser trailer. “But this life – it’s my destiny. My family crest is, and will always be a gang sign.”

The new season will pick up two years after the third season and will follow Monse Finnie, Cesar Diaz, Ruby Martinez, Jamal Turner, Jasmine, and Oscar dealing with their past. Despite their different paths in life, they quickly realize they can't escape the past and must come together to survive.

The show is returning with ten episodes starring Sierra Capri, Jason Genao, Brett Gray, Diego Tinoco, Jessica Marie Garcia, and Julio Macias back alongside co-creator Lauren Iungerich.

The show was created by Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez, and Jeremy Halt, who all executive produce alongside Jamie Dooner. Iungerich, who signed an overall deal with Netflix last year, also serves as showrunner.
