‘My Lovely Runner’ Series Review - A Perfect Time Travelling Drama

I am a huge Korean drama lover. It has been a long time since I started stalking Korean actors and movies. Lately, I have not enjoyed Korean dramas that much, as many dramas ended up very badly and some got boring in the middle. But recently, there has been one such drama that is not making me bored while watching.

I had high expectations as My Lovely Runner has such a good star cast, which is Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok. Both of them are my favorites, and the trailer was enough to show that their chemistry is so good. After watching the series, I am so hooked on it that I can't help but keep craving more of it. It is honestly very hard for me to wait for the next episodes every week.

The drama has everything that I love. It has romance, comedy, suspense, time travel, and everything. My Lovely Runner is about an idol who dies suddenly, and his fangirl gets dumbfounded after learning the truth. If you are a fangirl of an idol, then you must have known the pain of losing your favorite idol. I can totally relate to the female lead of this drama. As I am a fangirl of many K-pop groups, I could relate to the character so well.

Im Sol is an ordinary woman who lost her walking abilities after getting into an accident. She tries to kill herself, but listening to a member of a band and listening to their songs helps her overcome the hard times. Since then, Im Sol has become a huge fan of Eclipse.

But things take an unexpected turn when Sol learns that her favorite idol, Sun Jae, has committed suicide and is no more. This makes her leave in utter shock, and she rushes to the hospital to see him while holding the watch of Sun Jae, which she got as fan merchandise. When she rushed to the hospital, the watch fell into the water. Sol tried to get it back, but through it, she time-traveled back in the old days. Now Sol is in her student era, and she must save Sun Jae by changing the past.

For now, the drama is going well. I am updated with all the episodes that have been released so far. The plot gets interesting in every episode. If they do not ruin the ending, then I can say that My Lovely Runner will end up being on my top 5 favorite drama lists. You can watch this drama if you are looking for a romantic, comedic, time-traveling, and suspenseful plot. It is really one of the most popular and interesting ongoing drama series you shouldn't miss out on. I feel like My Lovely Runner is a treat to my eyes; the story is so good that I keep on waiting for Monday, even when I hate it the most.
